Phoebe A. (Harvey) Keller

Phoebe A. (Harvey) Keller, 82, of Keller Road, Benton, (Fairmount Springs) died Monday afternoon, April 1, 2013 at St. Luke's Villa Hospice in Wilkes-Barre. Born September 26, 1930 in Bethel Hill, Fairmount Township, she was a daughter of the late Ralph W. and Frances (Dohl) Harvey. She was preceded in death by her two husbands: Stanley Dale Keller of 48 years on February19, 1999 and Fred Dubetski, of 3 years, on May 26, 2011. Mrs. Keller had worked at the former Dockey Shirt Factory in Benton and then for Bercon Packaging in Berwick. She last worked at Bonham Nursing Center for 10 years, retiring in 2006. She and her husband, Dale, also delivered Press Enterprise newspapers for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Bethel Hill United Methodist Church; the Ladies Society of the Church and the Shickshinny American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post 495. She was also involved with the Fire Police Association of Fairmount Township, the North Mountain Fire Company and the EMA of Union Township. Mrs. Keller was a past trustee of the Patterson Grove Campground and the Bethel Hill United Methodist Church. She loved to travel, garden and spend time with her family. She will be remembered as one who really enjoyed life and will be sadly missed by all that knew her. Surviving are her 6 children: Son, Alvin R. Keller and his wife, Vickey of Coplay and their children: Robert, Karen, Richard and wife, Jody; Daughter, Mae Ann Yeager and her husband, David, of Fairmount Springs and their children: Bobbi Jo and James Donados; Pamela and Clint Carr; Daughter, Kathy Halm, of Wilkes-Barre and her children: Jason and Jessica Halm; Daughter, Patsy Smith of Fairmount Springs and her children: Tara Smith and Kayla Meier; Son, David Keller and his wife, Tammy, of Fairmount Springs and their children: Megan and David Jr.; Son, Brian Keller and his wife, Janice, of Ashland and their children: Shannon and Brianne Keller; Melissa Ermert, Nicole and Jeff Knopf and Kristi Jones. Also surviving are 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Fannie Kocher of Bethel Hill and Mildred Rittenhouse of Ricketts Glen and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 9 siblings. The family gratefully appreciated the care given to Phoebe by Doctors Aneela Ali, Omar Yueman and Pavel Pribula. At the request of the deceased, the viewing will be private for the family. Memorial Services will be held at a later date at the Bethel Hill United Methodist Church. Private burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Arrangements are under the direction of the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton.
