Paul Harvey Henne

Paul Harvey Henne, 66, of Campbell Road, Benton, passed away unexpectedly at the home that he shared with his companion, Cheryl Brobst on Thursday, September 24, 2015. Born December 19, 1948 in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Harvey Lemuel and Evelyn E. (Harlacker) Henne. He was a 1966 graduate of Lampeter Strasburg High School. He was a long time employee for PP&L where he worked as a lineman and a trouble shooter. He retired in February 2014 after 46 years of service. Mr. Henne was a member of Derrs Christian Church. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, and especially enjoyed chasing rabbits with his beagle, Winnie. He was a member of the NRA and was a supporter of the NCCCC in Benton where he enjoyed playing horseshoes. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed dancing and listening to Christian music. He was known as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his fiancée, Cheryl Brobst; his three children: Frank E. Henne and his wife, Lori, of Stevens, PA; Samuel E. Henne and his wife, Cecelia, of Akron, PA; Beth M. Weaver and her husband, Michael, of Bowmansville, PA; two step children: Jacqueline Woodward and her husband, Jake, of Bloomsburg, PA; Jack Heckman, Jr., of Hanover Township, PA. Also surviving are his 18 grandchildren, a great grandson, three brothers: Daniel Henne and his wife, Sue of Etters, PA; Edward Henne and his wife, Joyce, of New Providence, PA; Allen Henne, of Columbia, PA; a number of nieces and nephews as well as his beloved hunting beagle, Winnie. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann (Petrishin) Heckman Henne. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 29th, 2015, at 11 AM at the Derrs Christian Church, with his Minister, Pastor Robert K. Andrews, officiating. Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. A Viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 9 AM until the time of the Service at the Church.
